I graduated from Plainview High School in Ardmore in 1969. I attended Southeastern Oklahoma State Universiy in Durant, where I received my Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Science Degrees in 1973 and 1975 respectively. I received an Administrator Certicficate in 1976.

I started teaching at Elmore in 2015. This year will be my 4 year. I am currently teaching 6th grade Social Studies and Science. I also teach a Life Skills class with a mixture of 6th through 8th students.
I started my educational career in 1973 at Springdale Schools which was a part of the Dickson School System. I taught 6th grade and was the girl’s basketball, softball and track coach. I stayed with the system for 6 years and then moved to Lone Grove School System where I taught 6th grade English, Math and Social Studies.
After 6 years, I returned to Dickson Schools where I taught for 2 years before becoming principal at Springdale School. After 4 years, I became the principal at the Dickson 4th through 6th grade center. I was also the district's Federal Programs Director and Administrator. I was also the district's Director and Adminitrator of the Gifted and Talented program. After 32 years of education I retired.
I then went to work for Bancfirst in Ardmore as the Security/Education, Maintenance and Purchasing Officer for the 2 Ardmore branches and the Marietta and Sulphur branches. After 10 years, I returned to education here at Elmore.
I have been married for 42 years. I have 2 children. Heather who is 40, and a son, Derek who is 36. I have 4 grandchildren, 3 boys and 1 girl. They range in ages from 18 to 6. I am presently raising my two oldest grandsons.
